Joris is an architecture student with a passion for an algorithmic and data-driven approach to architectural systems. He considers himself a computational researcher with an interest in blending architecture, science and biology. After his bachelor thesis in 2017, he started his own studio which specializes in environmental data-driven design, as well as digital fabrication and AR/VR installations. His collaborative mindset led to diverse projects in the US and Europe, including work for MoMa New York and the London Design Festival. Apart from working in his studio and teaching, he has a big fascination for sci-fi, cyberpunk, Aphex Twin, and the Alien and Blade Runner franchises.
