#Groovember was a project started in 2019 by dancer and interaction designer Albert Hwang to get his creative juices flowing and explore new forms of movement expression. nspired by the Inktober social media event (where individuals across the world are encouraged to create and share a sketch they made based on a daily prompt created by Inktober organizers), Albert posted a short video of himself dancing each day for the entire month of November, 2019. Each performance was inspired by a randomly-generated word prompt assigned to a specific day.
This year, SEADS is excited to collaborate with Albert by organizing the Groovember 2020 submissions on this page, and by inviting everyone in our network participate in Groovember 2020!
Joining Groovember 2020 is easy:
#groovember
and #groovember2020
That's it!
Note about video length & posting frequency: No minimum length or posting frequency is required. This is about helping folks get better at sharing their dance online — so pick a frequency & length that help you improve your process, and try to stick to it.
